International Multidisciplinary Workshop

Laubegg Castle - Austria  |   12-21 December 2020


The program includes intensive physical theatre workshop, lectures and forums with world-known teachers - Ostrenko Brothers and the program of IUGTE annual International Conference with performing arts academics and practitioners from all around the world!

Students will be acquainted with training methods suitable for both actors and dancers, rehearsing methods formed on the base of Russian Theatre Tradition, including "Physical Action" of Stanislavsky, "Psychological Gesture" of M. Chekhov and Meyerhold's "Biomechanics".  The core of this workshop is the investigation of the relationship in practice between the theatre director and the performer; the development of this relationship to the particular results. 

The program includes intensive practical training, lectures, and discussion forums under the guidance of the theatre director, choreographer and teacher Sergei Ostrenko.


Ostrenko will also introduce you to 

  • the approaches to work with actors on movement, and working with dancers on text, which helps each performer to make their performances more alive; 

  • the method of psycho-physical approach to performers training;

  • the method of active analysis of the play; 

  • the method of working on the text with actors and dancers. 


Practical workshops, presentations, works in progress, lectures, and discussions with performing arts teachers from all around the world. The program is forming now, follow the news!

December 12:
From 13:00 - Group arrival and check-in.
16:40-17:00 - Program Coordinator meets the group. Short tour around the Castle.
17:00-18:00 - First group meeting and introduction.
18:00-19:00 - Dinner.

December 13, 14, 15, 16:
7:30-8:30 - Warm-Up.
8:30-9:00 - Breakfast.
09:30-12:00 - Practical training with Ostrenko brothers.
12:00-13:00 - Lunch.
14:00-18:00 - Practical training with Ostrenko brothers.
18:00-19:00 - Dinner.
19:30-21:00 - Creative diary: evening lectures, discussions and creation.

December 17:
7:30-8:30 - Warm-Up.
8:30-9:00 - Breakfast.
09:30-12:00 - Practical training with Ostrenko brothers.
12:00-13:00 - Lunch.
14:00-16:30 - Practical training with Ostrenko brothers.
18:00-19:00 - Dinner.
19:00 - IUGTE Conference opening and first meeting.

December 18, 19, 20:

Conference program: practical workshops, presentations, works-in-progress, lectures and discussions. The conference program will run full day with breaks for meals. The registered participants will receive the detailed daily schedule.

December 21:
7:30-9:00 - Breakfast
9:00 - Check-out and departure.
